Catawba Falls is always the hike I recommend to people.
The first reason I always recommend Catawba Falls is because it is absolutely beautiful.
Catawba Falls — High Falls
This is the highest waterfall on the hike, and you can choose to hike up to this one or turn around at any other spot. I would definitely go all the way up, but the trail is a little eroded on the way to this fall.
Which brings me to the second reason I always recommend this tail, its difficulty. It’s challenging enough to make you feel like you went on a hike, but kids can enjoy this as well. It’s about three miles.
I have a connection with this particular hike because this is where I used to hike when I was small. I loved being outside and still do, and this was a trail that was beautiful, but also something the whole family could do.
